Tim Cook, Apple CEO, to boost investment in Vietnamese suppliers during upcoming visit – More information provided
During his visit to Hanoi, Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook will reveal that the company is expanding its investments in Vietnam, although the exact amount has not been disclosed.
Apple is increasing its spending on suppliers in Vietnam in addition to supporting a local school clean water initiative, the company said in a statement. Apple has spent nearly 400 trillion dong ($16 billion) in the country since 2019 through its supply chain partners, the company said.
No information has been given about increasing the supplier’s expenses.

Cook, who landed in the capital Hanoi on Monday morning for a two-day visit, will meet with Vietnamese programmers and content producers, news site VnExpress reported without attribution.
In Vietnam, the number of companies assembling Apple products has quadrupled over the past decade.

On X, formerly Twitter, Cook posted pictures of himself in Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake drinking eggnog with Vietnamese singers.
Cook’s visit came as more than 60 human rights and environmental groups called on the Cupertino, California-based company to publicly oppose the detention of climate activists in Vietnam.
